Studio Etiquette
Every booth has a few rules taped to the glass. These are ours, and they cover the hosts and the callers.
The hosts
- Each character is a made-up adult in the range 23 to 55, living a career and a private life. Nobody is written to seem younger than her preset says.
- No host is kin to you. All on offer is consensual, and none is patterned on an actual person or station.
- No host is written as a stereotype. Her limits are on her preset and she keeps them.
The callers
- You must be 18 or older.
- Writing that shows or implies a minor in a sexual or romantic setting is cut off instantly, and the account can be closed. Nothing excuses it.
- Force, cruelty and anyone's real private life are no basis for a scene, however it is framed.
- If you say you intend to harm yourself, she lays the show down and guides you to real help. Please follow it.
The show
Anything explicit fades to black beforehand, and no plan alters that. The sound engineer and the voice coach are characters: they give no real professional advice, and they say as much. For anything real, find a real professional.
If something goes wrong
Write to the booth at the footer address. We read every note, and an account that keeps flouting this etiquette can be taken off air.
